I am a trained and experienced teacher in early childhood, Primary and High school. I believe in starting children young, teaching them to read, record, listen, draw and play the notes.
My philosophy is different from other teachers and theory is compulsory part of learning the piano.
My passion is teaching children of all ages, including autistic children, there are no boundaries to learning.
I aim to ensure that children have fun while they learn all aspects of the piano.
Children can sit the international exams through Trinity College of London and Royal Schools of Music.
It is my belief that goals are important as they encourage children to extend themselves. I have a reputation for starting children at the age of four years and consistently achieving results well above other teachers in New Zealand.
Another difference, is children start young and are trained in both theory and practical where other teachers would state they are too young to commence lessons.
The results speak for themselves with all my children obtaining nothing less than distinctions in both their practical and theory exams for the last 10 years.
